Breastfeeding and Lactation Support Packages 

'Preparing for baby' antenatal support. Ideal to book between the weeks of 30-36 weeks gestation. 

Focusing on:

  • Focusing on your breastfeeding goals,
  • Addressing past challenges and fears,
  • Avoiding or resolving common breastfeeding problems,
  • Supporting antenatal expression and storage of colostrum,
  • Preparing for lactation through nutrition, herbs and/or supplements, and
  • Advice on pumping devices and/or other new parenting products

1.5 hour in-home visit or virtual consultation

The involvement of your partner and any further support person(s) is encouraged during the consultation period. 

This consult is eligible for Medicare rebate. Please enquire for confirmation.

'Post birth breastfeeding and lactation' support. Care for mothers during the postpartum period, from birth until you breastfeeding/lactation journey ends.  

Breastfeeding experiences can vary between women and several packages are offered to support expectant or new parents, best supporting their breastfeeding journey. Focusing on:

  • Correct positioning, attachment/ fit and optimal milk transfer, 
  • Ensuring infant growth and development,
  • Management plans for nipple/breast pain, engorgement, milk supply issues, mastitis, thrush, blocked ducts and/or vasospasm, 
  • Weaning from formula feeding/ triple feeding plans, 
  • Understanding normal development for your child's age,
  • Better interpretation of your child's cues and communication,
  • Supporting alternative feeding methods, such as formula feeding, bottle and/or cup feeding, 
  • Further support with lifestyle changes such as, work return, lactation weaning, and 
  • Setting realistic expectations and offering sustainable advice.

1.5 hour in-home visit or virtual | one week follow up email support

ONLY under 6 weeks old will be able to claim Medicare rebate, older children incur the full fee

'Post birth breastfeeding and lactation' follow-up consultation. Some initial consultations require further support to navigate its challenges and/or to build on a parent's confidence. A shorter session may be suggested several days or weeks later to best achieve your goals/ improve your breastfeeding experience. 

40-60 minutes in-home visit or virtual | one week follow up email support
