Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS)

As an Endorsed Registered Midwife under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, endorsement allows for billing of certain services under the Medicare benefits Schedule (MBS), prescribing medications and ordering and interpreting diagnostic investigations. 

The Medicare Benefits Schedule provides rebates for antenatal and postnatal consultations up to 6 weeks postpartum. These consultations include either in-home or via Telehealth. Rebates are claimable with a valid Medicare card.

As of November 2024, GP referrals are no longer a requirement when accessing private midwifery care.

Newborn Months ‘Fourth Trimester’ package $300

NOTE: Please note sleep support packages (children older than 6 weeks) are not eligible for Medicare rebate. 

After full payment is made, you will be emailed a receipt enabling you to claim the Medicare rebate - If your Medicare Safety net is reached, you will be eligible for a larger refund.
